AUTO [Rearguard Circle]: When placed, choose 1 of your opponent's rearguards, Rest it, and Stand 1 of your rearguards.Helldemise's autoskill is designed to be used to stand the rearguards superior called from soul with Machining Stag Beetle's skill, while stopping the opponent from leaving one rearguard standing to interfere with the effects of Spark Hercules, Nasty Smog, and Helldemise's own continuous skill. That ability is lifted straight from Nasty, stopping an opponent's booster from standing.
CONT [Rearguard Circle]: During your opponent's Stand Phase, all of your opponent's units in the back row of the same column as this unit cannot Stand.
That said, Helldemise has several things working against him. None of his abilities work on the vanguard circle, and the card has no Imaginary Gift, meaning he's a complete vanilla on vanguard. He already has two excellent grade 3s competing for space, and the only thing unique about the card is that it stands rested allies. If that skill reappears on a grade 2 or 1, such a unit would have excellent synergy with Stag and Jocular Cicada, but it's hard to see Helldemise itself making it into the final cut for Megacolony decks.
Helldemise is V-EB01/056 in the setlist, right above Nasty Smog, which guarantees there are no more grade 2 Commons for Megacolony left in the set. Of note is that while every past weekly video had official English subtitles, Helldemise's only has autogenerated captions.
Last week's YouTube exclusive was Burner Ant.
