Today's Card Analysis: Iron Killer

The Japanese card of the day for April 10th, 2018, is a new Nova Grappler grade 2, Iron Killer.
AUTO: [Vanguard/Rearguard Circles]: When it attacks a vanguard, if the number of your rearguards is 3 or greater, this unit gets Power +5000 until the end of that battle.
Iron Killer is a new Battleroid, and an alternative to Cup Bowler for non-Hero Nova Grappler decks. Although Killer can't attack for 14000 against rearguards and can't gain the power bonus from Miss Splendor's autoskill, Killer's condition is very easy to meet thanks to the additional circles introduced by the Accel Gift. Any 8k base like Rocket Hammerman will make a 22 column for fighting Protect and other Accel decks, while the even stronger Death Army Guy makes a 23k for handling Force.

On an Accel circle Iron Killer will reach 24k, meeting all of the basic numbers expected by the game, and making it an ideal restand target for Asura Kaiser or Perfect Raizer when Maximum Raizer is unavailable or inconvenient to run. Killer outclasses Extra Muscular for decks that can't use Splendor, as Muscular has to already be on the field at the start of the turn to hit 15 after being restood.

The previous Japanese cards of the day were Farfalle Magus and Shooting Bobby.
